We all like taking pictures of cars, especially our own cars. Getting a picture of yourself actually driving your car is kind of tricky, though. Sure, you could tell a mate to wait for you to pass by, but with “Winter is coming” and the constant drizzle you would have to pay a lot of beers. Fortunately, the goverment installed those automated photo booths, which are pretty handy.
This time I went for the cheap €20 option. There’s a lot of room for improvement! The last time I went for the €180 full package and got this:
Just as with everything else, quality comes at a price.
Also a shoutout to the state of Brandenburg: I love that you always offer a link to download the pictures. This is good customer service! Other states don’t do this. Even though I don’t live there and only have to pass through from time to time, I will from now on try to only use your services.

Did they get you for 136 in a 135, or are those just the initial speed and final speed you were going? We sometimes like to joke that Germans are anal retentive, but sending tickets for 1 km/h over the limit seems excessive.
I have to say that €20 is pretty reasonable for a good driving certificate. My state starts at $100 and adds $1 for every mph over the posted speed you are ticketed for IIRC.

136 in a 135 zone must feel shitty.

There are no 135 zones. It must have been a 130.

There are no 135 zones. They usually let you go with anything below 10 over. So this must be 136 after they deducted possible errors with this method of clocking (usually a blank 3-4 kph). My best guess is that this was 140 in a 130 or so. Could also have been a 120 zone. 129 in a 120 won’t even trigger it.

That’s when it starts actually taking pictures. They automatically deduct like 3-4 kph for possible faults with the setup. They don’t waste film on people going 1 over. This was probably me doing 141-142 on the speedometer in a 120.

Oh ok, so they don’t show the actual limit on that stretch of road? We have the same 10% margin of error on our speed cameras.

I had to wait a year and a half for mine to come via Bing Streetside.

Ist ihnen bewusst dass dort ein Blatt DIN A1 Papier anstelle der Fenster ist? So wird das aber nix mit dem TÜV.
